Sorted, turns out the way I had it, ie as the picture, will allow some of the water to bypass the engine!!!!!

 

Altered it so it works properly now. Fired him up and he runs very nice. I could balace a 10p coin on the block, it was that smooth.

 

So only need to fit the floor mounted pedal box, hydraulic clutch new diff, rear wings and we are back on the road.

 

If I had thought about the cooling when I first put the car together I would have not been off the road for the best part of a year.

Oh, and the battery cut off switch, and work out why the wipers only work when the lights are on. Then................when all that is sorted, I can think about the throttle bodies and all the associated crap that comes with them.
