I have always wanted to visit this place and it`s not far at all from where I live.

So I`m planning a visit on Saturday 23rd taking in all the back roads and country lanes and then maybe get something to eat. However that may prove difficult because there is a Parachute regiment event starting at mid day, so we may be reduced to a McDonalds later on.

More details to follow but let me know if your interested.

What about McDonalds Atherstone Rd, Appleby Magna DE12 7AP. Seems quite central... Say 9.15 am to leave at 9.30 am?

Have a bit of a scoot around and take in some lanes then head off to the arboretum .

Got back to Cov filled up with gas and started to get a vibration when I accelerated. Turned out the rear UJ on the prop had decided to fall a part, one of the needle roller bearings was dry and had 3.5 needles left in it? lucky to happen then could have let go on mway. Its rebuilt and back in car now but I've still got to put car back together, was trying to make run tomorrow but ran out of energy.
