Rear End Clunk

Been noticing a rear end clunk when throttling off sharply in second , had a look and nothing on the suspension was loose, all I found was the front diff bolt was slightly loose allowing the diff to raise/lower at the front by maybe 8mm.. gave it a good tighten, I'm hoping that is the cause, if not anything else I should check over?

I checked all the engine mounts tonight and all seem fine, and there are no kiss marks from the prop touching. I'm hoping it's the slight movement in the diff! I will check the driveshafts for play tomorrow night!

mostly likely one of the suspects above but might be worth just casting an eye over the welds on the chassis if you are under the car. I have seen a westfield with a broken weld on the bar that holds the rear suspension arm. less likely that just something being loose but if you are looking anyway it can't hurt.

The diff is mounted on the 5 series rear subframe which is built like a brick shhht house so I don't think it's a weld gone, will double check though, it could be play in the diff. As I don't use the rubber guibo coupling that is normally fitted between the gearbox and prop coupling, this would normally take a lot of rotational free play out of the drive line.

Thanks for the suggestions, I will cast my eye over things again!
