Santa Pod Peak Performance Day

Hiya guys.

I booked a racer ticket & 4 crew tickets for Ray's Corvette to make its first practice runs.

This is not a regular RWYB, but a limited entry for serious racers on a fully prepped track

But the car is not 100% ready for the track, although it starts & runs well, it needs to go on a RR

& there are not many that can handle 2000 HP, and none that can fit it in by then.

Scroll down a bit for the video....

Rather than risk it, he has decided not to take it,

so I will be taking the Hood rather than waste the tickets, weather dependent.

There may be some free crew tickets available, but I will post up nearer the date.

Tickets can be collected at the gate so do not need to be mailed

Passenger rides may also available....

Bob

Dave, passengers will need to have the same safety equipment as the driver,

ie a crash helmet and arm straps, because it is an open top car.

The straps need to have an adjustable loop for your wrist and a loop the other end

which goes over the seat belt clip. Obviously you need 2 (assuming you have 2 arms?)

Passengers have only recently been allowed, so I have never taken one before. (you can back out!)

Bring your driving licence along as the rules/regs say photo ID is required, so I guess you have to

sign on as well as me. We can sort that out after we meet up.

Complete shambles on my part, got there late, missed Dave, left my phone on charge in the kitchen, got stuck in traffic

both ways, took 2 & 1/2 hours to get there (110 miles) & 3 & 1/4 to get home,

but did we have fun?

You Bet I did

I eventually managed 13.8 & 94 mph after many cocked up launches.
