The Emerald instruction manual will tell you how to create a simple 2 or 3 way switch into a selector with a simple resistor divider to give you 0 - 1/2 - full voltage at the pin.

(Going to look it up again ... )

Look on page 39 / 40 of the emerald manual for the two / three way setup.

Roy.

As stated its very easy to load 3 maps onto an Emerald ECU.You dont need a switch to swap between maps if you only intend to use one of the three, but you will need a switch if you want to change while driving.

ie. I have a Guest Mapping, A full power map and a wet weather map.

I will asume you have the Emerald software and cable to link it to a laptop. If not you will need it.

Copy your original map on to the lap top and you will have the ability to start playing around with ignition and fuel maps.be very aware of this though. Your start up map is a seperate map that increases fuel as a percentage of the main fuel map so if you increase one you should balance against the other.

There is alot more to mapping than just having a go. Id advise NOT to delete the original map so you will always have a working base to go back to.

You could also try fitting a wide band O2 sensor and using this as an aid too.

What are the specs of your engine? I could see if I have a suitable map for you to play with.

I was told under no circumstances drive the zero on the road using the iva map on the ecu, it was purely for getting through the emissions test. Open up the emerald software and connect to the ecu, open up the gbs power map ( pm me if you need a copy) and select program map to ecu.
