Acuspark

Do you mean an inductive ignition module from the original sierra. If so it has six wires. An earth, a cranking live often from the starter, an ignition live, a wire to the coil negative and two wires to the distributor. Probably the only one I would keep would be the ignition live. The rest can be removed or insulated. Make sure you have the right coil for an accuspark.

Not sure accuspark will perform any better than the inductive unit.

What voltage are you getting at coil with ignition? Does it have a ballast resistor/wire fitted? if yes then you must have the right coil as well, with accuspark units if i remember correctly its the difference between blue or red coils.
