Drive Shafts

No idea if I'm being a bit dense here, but may as well ask anyway. I have finally finished cleaning up the running gear from my donor (2.0 EFi) and have come around to putting the rear suspension back together. I have noticed that the drive shafts are taking an awful lot of pressure to bolt back onto the lower arm (ie they wont sit flush against the lower arm unles I fully tighten the bolts, and that they dont appear to push back into the diff right to the joint cover. Is this normal?

Cheers

Graeme.

Yup, I'd agree.

Im assuming youve got it jacked up with no weight on the axle (Itd be a bit hard otherwise!) - when the suspension travels up it will push the joint in (towards the diff) so there should be a bit of movement left. Although the resistance is too much to push in by hand this far anyway.
