Exhaust Modification To Meet Import Standard

Hi,

Im in the process of importing my 2B to Australia and while most the modifications can be changed I need to change my exhaust system.

 

Has to...

 

Be a rear exit exhaust that follows where a side pipe runs along the side of the vehicle and then runs back in under the vehicle in front of the rear wheel and then out under the back. You will need a full length heat shield on the section of exhaust running along the side of the car. They will not relax this requirement

 

I cant see this working due to space and height?

Can be done with out a lot of mods.

 

Obviously boxing out the main silencer is just a matter of fabricating a full shield.

does it definitely have to exit to the rear? i'm just thinking that the toniq R has a version with it's exhaust up front http://www.madabout-kitcars.com/images/imgtxt/608/1180287580-Toniqr-green-Llandow3.jpgand just exits to the side. Probably get some crazy under bonnet temps but you'll just have to keep moving forward quickly to keep it cool
