Slightly Worrying Wobbly Rear

I noticed the rear end on my S3 was starting to feel less stable than before, a whole ago I was able to make the car yaw with on off throttle, last week it felt like it was steering from the rear.

I whipped off the wheels and immediately noticed the rear right was loose, the hub nut however was extremely tight even with the bent edge straightened it tool a big socket bar and 4 foot scaffold to unwind it.

Once undone it was clear that in a previous life a nut was cut off the drive shaft and this had thinned the threads one side, the nut had moved ( unwound a coupl of mm) then stuck fast, this allowed the bearings to open and take up the slack ( MOT last year said " slight play rear left) and it was my view to replace the bearing when fitting the Quaife LSD and camber wedges.

Now I need to replace the driveshaft as well but hay hoe its a kit car
