Yes, all the Superspecs came with the gold wishbones but only about half came with the titanium finish. As for your photos, the first one appears to show 3 different dashboards, the one in the middle appears to be the one that came with the kit, with the hole for the Escort instrument cluster and the step forwards for the driver side of the panel.

The picture top right is of the scuttle. The 2 rectangular holes are for windscreen demisters and the 3 circular holes are for the 2 windscreen wipers and the windscreen washers. You should blank those off for the IVA as you won't be fitting a windscreen until post-IVA (that is what we all recommend).

The picture bottom left shows yet another dashboard. The owner appears to have been experimenting with different shapes.

The picture of the suspension does seem to show Gaz shocks, the blue bit at the top shows they are not Zimmers. And the solid bar facing the camera is where you slide on the mounting bracket for the wings. There should be a similar one facing the other way. As previously said, the original kit came with just a pieve of tubing with the internal diameter the same as the external diameter of the solid bar. You simply shape them to fit.

As for your odd piece. I'm not sure but the closest I could get is the body panel next to the suspension (unless it is part of the rear body before you mount the wing. Can't show a picture of that as it cannot be seen on a completed car. Here is a picture of my front panel (All the extra stuff is daylight running lights I have mounted on the suspension).

In your first photo the top one of the 3 pieces is actually the firewall. The rectangle goes on drivers side round the brake master cylinder and the pair of holes are for the brake hoses to the reservoir. Not sure what the bottom one is but as Al says it might be an expiremebt at another dashboard.

Your extra photo is one of the crescents that line the body inside the rear wheel arches. There should be two.

Im looking into engines the rover T16 turbo or non turbo looks good also i have seen a 1.8 zetec engine with adapted loom to fit a kit car and that will fit my gearbox although i do not know how good the box is or i could go for the good old Pinto engine and maybe a set of webbers but that will hit my budget hard .

it would be good if members could tell me whay power unit they have and is it any good and i have even thought about a Auto box and do away with the clutch peddle

The problem you'll have with the rover is that you'll need a different bellhousing. Do you have a type 9? (reverse up to left) if so then you can fit different bellhousings. see here for examples of price etc http://www.rwdmotorsport.com/bellhousings.html

I think i am correct in saying that the superspec that came with the rover engine had an adaptor plate that RH made, which isn't the best setup from what i've read.

If you want to keep costs down stick to ford. Pinto's are silly money now (and rather old - last one made is around 1991/92) when you can buy an entire mondeo with a 2ltr zetec for less than half the cost and it will be 20bhp more out of the box at least. Although you will need an engine management system. So it is a bit swings and round abouts but you'll get an engine that is much more modern.

Correct, although the adaptor plate was OK, it was the mating of the clutch and the MT75 that wasn't perfect.

i have removed the 1100 escort engine and am stripping every thing out and starting from scratch . i dont like the nasty black paint on the frame that is like a thin under seal so its all coming off and the frame will be polished

Also the farmer called me as he found lots of bits so i now have all the stainless parts i need including these bits ,ca any body tell me whatthey are WfnMNFy.jpg

Brake fluid reservoir holder - two types, bend to shape. Master cylinder/servo sits in scuttle, but RH mounted the reservoir in the engine bay and piped the fluid to master cyl. My IVA tester didn't like this (so remounted reservoir on master cyl. with hole cut in scuttle for access).

Note in engine bay, your chassis inner tubing has been cut and removed at the front. Also at back I have vertical downwards tubing almost at the two corners (with brackets for fuel tank) - cannot see these in your latest photo.

Hi John

As bullfist said its the mount for the brake fluid reservoir and Ive just looked at the rear of mine and it looks like you are missing part of the frame at the rear, I know when I came to see it the rear looked a little different as there was a different tank mounted.

Looks to be coming along though, have you decided what engine/gearbox yet?.

Dont suppose you have come across any Rover engine mounts in your boxes of bits as Ive had a bit of a mare with the front mount on mine
