Why do a lot of people across the internet slag off Robin Hoods? Yes they are heavier, mine weighs 820 kg but I haven't found anything wrong with the handling - quite the opposite, mine handles great! Looks wise I would argue they look as nice (virtually identical) to any 7 type car and they have just as much fun factor! And can I just put the record straight with performance on mine being 0 - 60 in 4 seconds and top end 125mph she's hardly 'slow' grrrr!

Ignore them just a bunch of Ill informed toffee nosed plonkers I've had 5 different kit cars and all of them have there problems Westfield included in that list. Robinhood are as good as you make them. They will never be a Caterham but they never cost anywhere near Caterham money.

What did you get your performance figs from , not being sniffy but your 0-60 time is maybe ambitous any thing below 5 is seriously quick , no offence meant mick

I had a Dutton Phaeton S3 and to be honest the build quality on my Hood is in a different league to that but I still loved that car and would never run them or their owners down. I loved my Dolly Dutton, I really did!

My lad in passenger seat with a stopwatch...I blatted out the clutch he stopped it at 4.8 seconds...I figured take off his weight (65kg) and the spare wheel and carrier (20kg) which was on at the time and I wouldn't be a million miles off 4 seconds. No offence taken.

I would just like to say i have been on the kit car seen for 8 years. If i was to buy a new kit it would be a Robin hood Zero. To me it looks like the best value for money and loads of fun. On the other hand i think i could build a w/field in a weekend, where's the fun in that.

By the way ( 0 to 60 in 3.4 sec)

4,8 is a long way from 4! again not trying to be snotty but would add a second on to that. I have driven lots of stuff in my time and even sub 6 can be impressive [ Porshe , Ferrari, cosworth, seirra and escort ,rally cars and race cars ] mick

I need a second or to just to react to the lights. When asked how quick it is I just say fast enough to get in trouble if you don't treat it with respect

Well Mick I'm not going to argue but my car does 35 in first and 70 in second and I can assure you my car will hit 60 in less than 5 seconds...easily. When I first posted this thread my figures were neither stated as satellite measured accurate nor intended to start a debate - I was merely trying to emphasise that Robin Hoods are by no means slow :-)
