Mems Ecu Wiring

Hi guys does anyone have a wiring diagram for the mems ECU in the superspecies as I'm looking to see if it has an output for revs

And this is the actual MEMS pin out wiring diagram for my Superspec. I took Tony Grimer's table (available in old posts on the forum) and updated it for the wire colours and pin outs on my car. Seems that not every Rover engine or MEMS used by RHE was the same!

 

On my car I found that ECU pin 25 white/black wire goes to both the coil -ve and also to terminal 8 on blue connector of the Escort instrument pod - this is the -ve for the rev counter. The other rev counter wire is terminal 12 on blue instrument connector which goes to coil +ve.

Theoretically I could use pin 25 to take a rev reading

Err. Pin 20 is the Fuel Pump Relay. And if Pin 25 just goes to the Coil -ve, wouldn't it be easier to take a tapping from the coil rather than disturb the ECU wiring (connector known to be fragile) ?

I have but the gauge is very jumpy at about 3000 revs. I have checked connections and they all seem good so I was looking for an alternative as the ford one was fine
