My brother mentioned somthing about tesco petrol a while back. He said it was somthing to do with them sponsoring a rallly. Not sure how true that is and not sure if their petrol is just 99 for a certain period or like that normally. Would be intrested to know if anyone out there knows anymore about it...

It's just their version of "super unleaded" as far as I'm aware.

 

The high Octane stuff in France has been 98RON for years, before Optimax, Ultimate blah blah.

 

I'm guessing whoever Tesco buys their petrol from has 99 as a standard grade & well done Tesco marketing for making a big deal out of it.

shell also sell 99 ron "Vpower" instead of optimax these days.
