Windscreen Washer Pump

Hi

Just noticed my washer isn't working, not sure if its the pump or the wiring on the stalk. Does anyone know what pins are for the washer on a super spec, the wiper/washer stalk has 5 wires going to it.

Also will the pump be in or on the bottle, my bottle is underneath the battery tray!!

Assuming a standard fit the pump is clipped on the bottom of the bottle.

Thanks Al, Dont suppose you know which pins on the stalk its connected to, I think its the wiring as I said before the stalk wiring looks a bit dubious. Ive got some new plugs and connectors coming so will re make all the connections from stalks

My Superspec wiper stalk pins are wired as follows, but might not be standard of course. Clockwise from top right:

1 12v ign

2 not used

3 fast

4 slow

5 12v ign

6 no pin

7 park

8 wash

Dont think yours is standard Andy, I have connections on 1,2,6,7,8 and I have no "park" facility with my wipers, I have to manually stop then at bottom of screen.

 

If your wiring diagram is just about same as mine (as discussed) then you can see the connections on it from RH.

 

May go down your route with the focus stalks and cowl!!
