Shouldn't need one for the Iva only for the registration, at which point you tell them you don't have one and as result you get a Q plate.

Don't understand how GBS can not share that information? Do they expect every zero owner to go to them whenever they need allignment?

Personally I'd go to procomp, they are very well respected for setting up these type of cars and bonus is they are local.

Just home after taking an extended journey home with some touristy stops on the way. Had a great weekend with awesome company and some great driving, even if it was a tad damp.

Thanks as always to Jackie and richy for organising such a superb event.

#375634 More Power

Posted by theduck on 31 July 2017 - 02:39 PM

My cars rough as hell, but it works, and works well.

Paul, spec of my engine setup is:

Bottom end - 20 block pinto from a cortina as it was when it left ford
Head - sierra injection head, again completely original
Custom exhaust manifold for Subaru fitment turbo
Mitsubishi tf035 turbo from a Subaru Forester
Sierra efi inlet manifold
Sierra fuel rail and fuel pressure regulator
Impreza 440cc injectors
Megasquirt 2

Other than making the exhaust manifold I've done everything myself including mapping. I've spent less than most people spend on an fr32 and bike carbs and it drives very well. It's been a steep learning curve and has been developed over a period of time and will continue to be developed further. The current setup though is one I'd happily recommend to anyone with a pinto that wants a cheap way to more power.

#374206 600Cc Bike Carbs Onto A Pinto 2L

Bike carbs run at very low pressure and so you are best running the fuel pump from the same bike as the carbs came from. No two cars are ever the same and so the setup on the carbs may be good enough to get it going you still need to get them properly setup for your car.

If it's a ford engine then you can use the burton website to confirm engine age
