Hi all. In January's mag is a link to an old Fifth Gear series. Link to YouTube might be of interest. Series 1 Tiff breaking world record in road legal car. Twin engine 4 wheel drive Tiger 100.

Just thought some of you might like to see it.

http//tinyurl.com/kltn27x item starts at 16 minutes in.

Don't know how to do link correctly so if it does not work you will have to get typing. Lol

I don't know about JC. I just noticed the article in the kit car mag and thought it might be of interest to other people.

There are probably quite a few production cars that can beat this time now. Unfortunately they are beyond the limit of most people's free cash. Lol

Not seen it yet Bob but I would be all over it given the chance. I remember seeing a two engined car some years ago at Ardingly. Looked to me as both drive shafts were both driving rear axle through a t box.

I think the two levers are there for when the box miss-shifts by itself. I'm no expert but i believe this can happen! The driver can then change gear for the individual engine/box that needs it.

Yeah box mis shifts can happen that is why there are two but if one engine is in 5th with 12,000 rpm and the other is in 4th this could do 20,000 rpm and this will strech the con rod bolts till they snap then the crank will impact the con rod side on and push it through the block.

Rev limiter on the engines can help but to work properly you would need to make either engine limiter cut power to both coils or indeed you could over Rev

Bike gearbox are very close so 1 gear out would not be a huge difference

2 gears out however would
