Bulb Burn Out

i have just replaced the nearside rear breaklight with a new bulb and 3 days later it has burnt out already!!! i guess it is getting to much current, or something but i dont know my *** from my elbow with electrics.

 

can any one suggest what the problem might be??????

check all terminations are tight, loose ones can cause high reststances, laso make sure your getting a good contact as that can have the same result, also "bulbs" can blow quickly if there not a half decent brand you might have just got a poor one

White coating inside the bulb

I'd agree with Stu - duff bulb - air had leaked in and when powered up it just vapourised the filament, coating the inside of the glass envelope.
