Alternator Not Charging

Wiring of the alternator light using an old fashioned tungsten filament bulb. Battery positive to ignition switch, ignition switch output to one terminal of the bulb, other terminal of the bulb to 61 on the alternator. If using a sierra dash with built in multi connections then one will already be 'ignition live' and will be supplying other things as well such as the rev counter and oil pressure light. So you just need to work out which output in the dash multi connector is 'out' from the ignition light.

Thanks very much for the help in this guys, now with the excitor wire run to one side of a lucas bulb and the other to a switched live from the barrel i now have a charging battery for the first time in about 10 years. Thanks very much for the help.
