My New Frankenstien Engine

got the engine turning over today did a compression test and the figures are better than wot they were stll lower than wot i was expecting but the engine is cold and bores are dry may go up a bit so tomorrow is start up day hopefully

Just to check you are taking readings with throttle open arent you? Not that I have ever forgot that bit and thought they look a bit low!

it lives sounds good have got oil leaking from camshaft seals but thats a job for another day

And it's only 50percent zetec technicaly

Yes I do know that the St170 is a zetec just a little stronger

It took me a while to find out wot settings to change on the megasquirt to get it to run luckily Shaun at MS2 tuning was happy to share his knowledge

Im considering turboing mine too. Looking out for an RS Turbo exhaust manifold.

just been round the block and the new hybrid engine sounds great
