Hi all

Had to remove my pedal box and redo it all on removing the box I thought I would have a look about the foot well and on removing the carpet on the centre tunnel at the front I noticed that the side panel is not attached to the front panel at. All? Have attached a couple of pics anyone help me out as to what may have caused this or how it should be joined and look??

The front panel is just to keep the engine fumes from the cockpit.

The joints should be filled with sikaflex or something similar, though fumes in an open toped car are probably not much of a problem unless the exhaust is realy leaking in the engine bay.

I too own an S7. Your photos show the side of the car on the right and the bulkhead which faces your feet on the left. There is no connection between the panels here. Someone has stopped the draft with sealant.

Hi yes that's correct. As you sit in tbe car facing the engine the tunnel side is not connected to the footwell end plate at all, it's just some. Silicon of some kind but there is a gap at the top that if I put my fingers in from the outside by the gearbox tunnel I can see them in tbe top corner of the footwell if thst makes sense
