I retired on Thursday. It's going to take some getting used to not working for a living. I'm happily married and my wife retired early to look after our grandchildren. I'm very fortunate to be in good shape for 63 year old so I won't be sitting about waiting to check out. I have my fifteen year old MX5 to cherish and enjoy and a load of other interests and hobbies. I'll so have time to visit all the great mates I've made through this club over the past fifteen years. My S7 went a couple of years ago so I'm on the lookout for a new project MX5 based kit. Any suggestions?

Once RETIRED you will find it hard to see how you ever had time to go to work ..........ENJOY YOUR RETIREMENT TIME ...............

Agree completely....

3 kids, + 5 grandkids = zero me-time.

I have an 8 foot biplane I started building last (2016) Christmas.

Still only half finished.

Retirement isnt working out the way I planned....but I love it anyway.

I could of retired last January.... at 60

I have a cunning plan though and still (just) enjoy what I do

Finished work when I was 56, 16 years later I still don't know how I found the time to go to work!

Yep, retired at 58 -- 13 years ago --- still too busy to earn a living --- play-time takes all the available waking hours.

At least you can consider retiring early over there. Here with essentially no health care coverage available till 65 y.o. for individual purchase early retirement is just a pipe dream.

OK, off my whining box. Perhaps I should plan to retire to the UK.
