Positive Battery Cable

Hi Guys,

 

I need to replace the red positive wire from the battery to Starter Motor. Needs to be approx 30" long . Running 2.0 pinto. Does anyone know the spec I need in amperage? Lots on eBay ranging from 170A to 485A.

Unless you are bothered about weight, the higher the better.

You should at least match the earth cable already fitted or replace them both with higher grade.

Easy way is to measure the width of existing cable and check measurement spec of replacement.

I used welding cable and put my own ends on it.

And you can never have enough earths. I have three!

For that length 6mm CSA or greater will be fine -- but as said 10mm is better & 16mm CSA is more than enough
