Mud Flaps

Recommended Posts

I went away for the weekend in the RH, so had lots of fun driving around the peak district :D

The car ended up covered in mud though  . Was thinking about adding some rubber mud flaps to go at the back of the front mud guards - but not sure how they would look.

Has anyone else done this - do they work? do they look ok?

Cheers

Hi, yep, as Mark said, I've got mudflaps on mine.

Andy (Grim) and I bought a roll of rubber at a show and had half each. They do work, and I think they look ok.

I'll see if I've got any photo's when I'm next at my PC. ( on mobile now)

just fitted cycle wings and as a safety thing fitted flaps. as i could see the btm of the front wheel means a stone is aimed at my eyes. let alone my new paint work

thats a B&Q carpet tile £2.50 inc spray suppression. bargain ;)

  • 1 month later...

I fitted mudflaps to the front wings cos the stones kept getting in the car.

£1 car mat from Tesco cut in half. Look fine and they do not flap about in the breeze strangely enough.

Mine on the front are sandwiched between the mudgard and the tube using the mounting bolts.

On the rear as you can see in this pic

I used a strip of alli strip from B&Q (in gold  )

At speed they do blow up a bit but there is a good improvement, well worth the effort.
