hi steve, you will need a new pair of front hubs, (I think the ones fitted are butchered (modified) to suit the slider, there just std sierra, disc and calipers the same , not 100% sure on steering rack but I think its the same, but I am probably wrong on that

The wishbones inner pivots are mounted on the existing chassis. This results in the upper mounts being higher than ideal but can be compensated for either by an extended top hat in the hub (as in the pics) or by constructing a strong framework in the chassis to allow a less high wishbone mount. The former is much easier and works.

For starters here is your shopping list:

Two Sierra front hubs preferably with discs and calipers. You might want to replace the bearings as well.

Two dummy struts.

Two pairs of top and bottom ball joints

Two sheets of stainless steel to replace the side panels that you need to cut 700mm from the front of the chassis should be enough

Two steering rack extensions

Two pairs of wishbones, obviously!

Set of bushes and crush tubes.

Two coil over dampers.

Replacement or modified cycle wing brackets.

Mounting brackets for wishbones and coilovers. Either fabricate these yourself or buy them from GBS.

A coded welder for welding the mounting brackets. This not a job for an armature.

And of course Lots and lots of patience. It is straight forward it's the setting up that will take the time.

One word of advise. Check all the current measurements befor to take the sliding pillars off. Like the wheel base. Wheel centres in relation to the chassis. When I took mine off last year I found the drivers side front wheel was 15mm further forward that the passenger????

Finally, I would suggest you build in castor adjustment this should be between 3 - 8 deg

HTH.

Not sure of the wheel base. Make it so the ends of your steering rack continue through the centre line of the rack and as best as possible it is straight. Obviously make both sides the same.
