  1. My 2B plus has a 2.0L Pinto has 4 x Mikuni Bike CV Carbs from a Kawasaki ZR-6R 'J' Nija with a purpose built manifold built by Bogg Bros and theFuel pump is a Facet Posi-Flow Electric Fuel pump (4.0 – 7.0 psi) along with a Pressure regulator which is a Sytec Pro-Flow adjustable (1.0 – 5.0 psi) set at 3psi. In the ned went for a progammable Megajolt electronic system and along with a Sport Torque (FR30) cam. Rolling road set up (Mikeanics) last year now getting 149bhp at 5,900rpm.
  2. Just bought Trackace and surprised it was bit more fiddley than video suggested and took more adjustments to get it set up. Eventuall got it to read and after making 3 equal adjustments to track rod got it spot on. Even the exposed thread lengths of 3.0cm and 30.2cm seem to be within tollerance. Even drives straight ans steering wheel now central. Thanks everyone for the brilliant advice Chris
  3. Thanks chaps some very useful and informative advice, videos and equipment options. Not sure how to adjust camber or whether my original RH steering has adjuster or do we have to take off the track rod ends. Looks like the Trackace is favourite, especially as demon Tweeks (Wrexham) have them in stock. Much apprecited. Chris.
  4. Any advice would be welcomed on getting front wheel Aligment carried out with glued on GBS mudguards as there is not enough clearance to fit 'Hang on' type eqipment. Advised there is an alternative system that fits onto the wheel, however, it requires a lot of details I dont have. Recommendations would be much appreciated. GBS have told me 1.5 degrees negative camber Tracking parrel but if it feels as if it wonders add a little toe in and 18-22 PSI in the tyres.
  5. For Sale - Single overhead Fast Road (FR 32) head, converted to unleaded with ports polished to stage 1 as part of engine rebuild for kit car which was completed in 2018 and only done 850 miles. This is a non-efi head. Ideal Pinto replacement or for further work to stage 2 or 3. Any question feel free to ask. Location is Warrington (WA4 area) looking for £550 ovno, serious offers considered. Collection is required as its really heavy.
  6. BTW my manifold was made by Bogg Bros. Might be good idea to email them again for advice.
  7. That's brilliant info and thanks Richy. Have saved the pdf and will be looking and trying to take it all in. Chris
  8. Appologeise as not sure what and where they are. Photo would help identify
  9. Appreciate any help and advice from anyone who has a Pinto with bike carbs. Engine is a 2L Pinto, Single Overhead High Torque (FR 30) Cam, Carbs are Mikuni from a ZX-6R J Ninja (2000-2002) and a Megajolt ignition system. RH 2B Plus on a rolling road showed fuel /air ratio was far to lean even though jets drilled to 180. Eventually drilled to 210, however, torque and fuel drop off at 4750 rpm. Currently Needle jets fitted are 5E18 (outside - 1 & 4 cylinders) and 5E19 (inside 2 & 3 cylinders) and no longer available and advised needle profile needs adjusting/changing. I would be pleased to hear your recommended jet sizes, needle profile/code and where to obtain the parts from to obtain maximum performance over the full (1,000 - 6,000) rpm range . Regards Chris.
  10. Hi Ian. Have left meaasge on your answer phone. Hope you can phone me this evening to discuss arrange. Chris
  11. Any engineers near Warrington who can assist me in replacing cylinder head on my 2B Plus as believe head gasket leaking so have got an upgraded new cylinder head? Have all parts required except antifreeze and gasket glue but can get from local factor. Chris
  12. Like some builds, engine is a mixture from different ones. 205 Block was I bel;ieve from a transit with DOHC, but I only wanted a SOHC which came from another unknown vehicle. Unfortunately there was no dipstick with the block. Had the metal sump lowered with a side extension to maintain volume. Found a dipstick (Scrap Yard) but when we put 4.5L in after complete engine rebuild that's when we had foaming problems. Bought a new Burton Power dipstick and tube but did not change the original as it was far too short allowing dipstick to hit bottom of the sump without fully seatingin the tube. Hence sump off, crankshaft turned to lowest level and with spirit level across to the dipstick it was at LOWEST level, hence adding more to max fill caused foaming as overfilled. Removed 2.5mm from top of the tube and did a a complete oil and filter change addind 4.5L new oil with the dipstick now at the max level and good oil pressure at 4.5bar (65psi) and no foaming.
  13. Problem solved. Drained oil and measured at 4.5 Litres. Sump off, crankshaft turned to lowest level and with spirit level dipstick was at LOWEST level. Removed 2.5mm from top of the tube. Refitted sump, added 3.5L oil as not removed filter and oil level now correct at max mark on dipstick.
  14. I already have Mikuni carbs from a Kawasaki Nija on a Bogg Bros manifold fitted to my 2.0L Pinto engined RH 2B Plus. On a rolling road test found the 180 main jest were too lean, therefore I would be interested to know what size your setup is running. Ignition is also a Megajolt system.
  15. Have now read your post and it really answers my question so thank you. Will now be able to measure the block to max level and adjust the tube accordingly. The measurement of the 'rod' type dipstich from the bump to min level is 396mm and the max level is 370mm. Have bougth a Burton Power flexible/spiral type distick and the measurements from the bump to min level are 405mm and the max level is 378mm. Will use best fit dipstick once got the sump off.
