Sign Out Not Working?

I have just noticed a problem with the signing out on this forum.

I usually click the sign out before I leave, but recently I have found that restarting the computer and chrome that it shows me as signed in when I had not done so.

This has only started happening recently. Has anyone else found this problem?

Simon I have Just SIGNED OUT and the System signed me out and Showed no members names on line. Then re signed in to Post this note but would concur with you lots of times when I go to RHOCAR site as soon as I move to the site it says I am already logged in without me logging in.

Perturbing.

Have a GOOD DAY.

I can sign out and visit other sites and remain signed out if I revisit Rhocar in the same browser session. If I close Mozilla and re-open it and visit Rhocar I am signed in again. As if there is an auto-sign in selected. Only doing it on Rhocar forum, so not a browser glitch.

Yes, Chrome and IE are fine for me as well but seeing this symptom on Firefox

Logged out - shown as logged out

Closed Browser

Reopened browser

Went to RHOCaR

Showing as Logged IN

So I guess it is a problem with just that browser.

I am using chrome and I know I logged out of RHOCaR. I didn't close the browser session or restart the machine, yet I found myself logged in again after about an hour later when I just refreshed the page.

Odd behaviour. I will now log out again and shutdown and try again later today.

I have just seen this happen again about 100 minutes after logging out.

I had not closed chrome down, only waited while doing something else. I thought it might occur after 60 minutes or so.

I will try signing out again and wait for a hour before refreshing the page again.

I am not the only one who is seeing this problem. (It has also occurred again this morning).

It seems to happen after a long but unknown time period.

I was mistaken about the logged in users database - I meant the utmp file which is accessed by the who / whoami / users or w command.

I will now also try this on a second machine to see if a different browser shows the same problem. I will log out from this one now.
