Re-Cycle Damper & Springs Off My Series Iii Monocoque

While Steamer had my car, he carried out a 'tie bar conversion', giving me a vastly improved handling car.

He removed the old dampers and springs ... probably rated around the 180lb mark and replaced with new 120lb springs and Gaz dampers.

The old set up is now sitting in my workshop, not to be used again - by me.

If the old damper/spring set up is of any use to anyone, just give me a shout.

I had my car put back on the road for a VERY economical price, so am not asking anything at all for these parts.

I reside in the West Midlands and shall be attending the Stoneleigh Kit car show, if you would like to make use of said suspension 'stuff' ... you can collect, or take it from me in May.

Cheers

Alan,

If they're still available at Stoneleigh I'll take them off your hands if only to replace the lock nuts & threaded sleeves on mine (already have 130lb springs fitted).

Once mine is finally on the road (in the year 201x or possiblr 202x) I will upgrade to something a bit better as it seems a bit excessive spending out loads on shocks at this stage with so many other parts still required.

Cheers

Rich

You're very welcome to them Rich. I've just got to remember to pack them alongside my tent and sleeping bag, beers and tooth brush - come the end of April.

I shouldn't forget, but if you want to remind me nearer the time ... us oldies do tend to forget things, occasionally, so I'm told!

Hi. There is a chap on eBay breaking a Robin Hood at the moment.

If you go into item number 281951988287 and click on his other items, you might find cheap parts you may be looking for.
