Superspec Overfueling

Hi all. I have managed to get the superspec going and running however it is over fuelling and flooding the engine.

It does have a persistent error on the internal air temperature which won't clear.

Does anyone have any ideas to what could be the cause for either or both.

Due to lack of response I will suggest possible scenario is duff engine temperature sender. Next would be mass airflow sender if it has one. Finaly air temperature sender. In that order. If any of them are reporting odd figures to the ECU they would alter fueling. Useful if you could see what they are reporting to the ECU.(On my ECU which is omex the air temp sender has very little effect on fueling but I don't know how much yours does with MEMS.)

Main reason for lack of response is that we have been discussing this via PM and exhausted everything we could think of. We are not talking about running a bit rich here, we are talking about fuel spurting out, so I don't think that MEMS is the right area to look. We can read the ECU data so we know the engine temperature sensor is working, we don't have a mass airflow sensor and we also know the intake temperature sensor is not working but as per the documentation, the ECU simply assumes a figure of 60°C across all the range. This could make cold starting difficult, but shouldn't really affect fuel flow.

Could too high a fuel pressure cause it ? Should be 2-3 bar I think. We do have a pressure regulator on the fuel rail, but I don't know what effect that would have if it failed ?

I will try to get hold of a fuel pressure tester kit and see what pressure is going through the system. I will also look at replacing the the throttle position sensor as on one of the rover forums they have said that a fault with that may not show on ecu fully but could result in overfueling also
