Joined last night and loads of questions starting to flow, so my apologies.

Looking for a rear luggage cover for my 2b and does anyone have any ideas on where I can a trim to go round the edge of the bot where the panel laps over the tubular chassis. Previous owner did a bit of a messy job and whilst safe and sound, some trim would hide and make the job look a thousand times better.

thanks in anticipation.

Are you aware that Robin Hood was sold/renamed to GBS years ago? They still do lots of bits for the 2B and also sell trim etc...

This is their parts website: http://www.kitspares.co.uk/

...and they do a GRP boot cover for the 2B.

I don't actually know what a 2B looks like at the boot end but the vinyl boot cover they do for the Zero (which I have) is excellent, if pricey. Might fit the 2B?

Yes, would suggest you make one. I bought the one from GBS some year ago (may be different now though) which was a few bits of fibre glass which was really poor fit, so ended up making a boot box from some 6mm ply (painted ply with gloss black paint to seal it, and lined with carpet) Used the same ply to fit 2 side rear panels (cut around the roll cage) and a central boot lid, all covered with the leatherette PVC material. I used poppers around the edges to fasten the side panels to the chassis rear boot rail

Making one isnt difficult using your best Blue Peter skills and several

cornflake packet to make templates.

I did the same as Tazz, but I took it from the top of the seat belt bar to get

more storage room. I used thickish aluminium sheet shaped to reach the rear

chassis tube, with a fold in front of the seat belt bar down to the rear passenger panel.

I used WBP ply for a lid, and covered everything in the same vinyl as I used for the (first) dash.
