Lincolnshire Meeting For June

Hi all

Looking ahead to next month we are spoilt for choice again. There are 3 opportunities to get together and I will try and get to all of them.

Sat 4th June: GBS Open Day, always good for a free coffee and a chat and a nose around other cars.

Sun 19th June: Castle Bytham Midsummer Fair (http://www.midsummerfair.co.uk/)

As a Club we had a very good turn out 2 years ago with 8 cars. Last year I was away so no-one went. Let's try and go for a good turn out this year. It's a classic village fair with all the things you would expect: Craft stalls, Morris dancers, Beer, BBQ, Music, Duck Race, Dog Show.... A great day out for everyone.

Arrival/Departure times are flexible, although it would be nice to have some cars there fairly early so we can block out some of the road where we display, and I can show off the new Club Banner (thanks Steve).

I would like to give the organisers an idea of numbers, so could you either let me know or post here. So far I have:

Me

Richard (richard7)

Pete (swan)

Derek

Nigel (niduncan)

Sun 26th June: Horsepower at the Hall (https://www.facebook.com/horsepoweratthehall/) As some of you know this has been a victim of it's own success and has had to move to a bigger field at the Newark Showground. Four of us went last month and the turnout was huge, but we were parked miles apart.. And we need more Hoods :) Timings are nominally 13:00-17:00 although when I got there at 12:50 it was already half full. And you leave when you have had enough. This time I will arrange an RV beforehand (maybe at a pub), so we can arrive and park together.

Enjoy it !!

Al

Thanks both. For all attendees, I plan to park at the bottom of the hill about 09:00 to reserve our slot, same as when you were there 2 years ago. I can't promise to keep 5 slots open, unless others get there early, but I will do my best :)

If anyone else is coming who doesn't know the area let me know.

Good day today at Castle Bytham Midsummer Fair. Weather was good, of course, all the fun of the fair, lots to eat and drink and a flypast by a Spitfire.. Also gave me a chance to show off my new Club Banners

Thanks to all those that supported me.

Right, time for 'HorsePower at the Hall' (https://www.facebook...oweratthehall/) now renamed as Gearheads at the Ground since they moved to the Newark Showground. Unfortunately I can't make it as I will be away but Terry (tazzman) has started a thread at http://www.rhocar.org/index.php?showtopic=44325#entry360086 dedicated to this month's show.

If you are going please add your names to that thread and we will decide if a rendezvous is appropriate so you arrive and park together.
