Got myself a little confused yet again.....takes very little....

I am about to do an oil/filter/spark plug service on the Hood and took the plugs out to check what they are so I can get the same type.

They are noted as NGK AP6F.....

Figured that was fine....but now I find bloody loads of variations on that type....

Am I missing something or should there be another reference on the plug ??

The engine has a 285 piper cam fitted, obviously its been working fine with these plugs fitted from the short time i have had it. Its simply a case of what plug i get as I cant see any plugs that dont have an extra letter noted....

Another novice question is what gap should the plugs be set at ? As the engine has been changed from stock i dont know what to reference it against....

sounds okay dave, but the plugs fitted have been in 2 yrs and max 2000 miles, good clean and regap should be fine,

when servicing grease the uj's on propshaft too, *bleep* to get to front one but needed all the same,
