Wheel Nut Socket?

When doing a trial fit of my wheels on my zero (tyres arrive Tuesday) I struggled to find a socket to fit the team dynamic wheels with GBS nuts. Anything 1/2" drive is too big a diameter to fit into the wheel, best I found was a 3/8" 13/16 socket, but this was a bit short, what does everyone else use?

A long reach quality brand in 1/2" wall should be thin enough wall to fit ; it's what we use ; but not on Gbs wheels.

Exactly as Bob has said - a good quality long reach socket works with my GBS wheels

My 2B alloys where the same, i needed to use a 21mm long reach socket. The only one I had that would fit was part of a budget set any decent sockets I have are to thick to go in the wheel. You could change nuts but may cost more than a socket.

just take the plastic cover off

That's a good idea, I have a set of those at work, all the sockets I had at home were too thick/short. I'll give it a try when I fit my tyres next week.

Got wheel nuts supplied with my wheels - from some place in Oldham , cant remember who.

 

Standard 19mm socket on a short extension bar fits perfect.
