Trackday blyton park 31st march

OK following the recent thread around ideas / stuff to attract members etc.

 

Javelin have a open pit lane trackdayorganised for the 31st of March, thought I might see if we can get some interest etc.

 

Price at present is £119.00 for the day, for details visit the website.

 

Who is up for it?? Please list if booked or interested etc!!!! If enough may call and try to arrange group discount dependant on take up.

Might camp over an spectate like last time, it will give me chance to get the caravan out ready for the show season

If we have 5 or more we can get a 5% discount and 10 or more we can have 10%.

 

Group booking MUST be made by one individual as one transaction for all those attending.

 

I charge a 20% handling fee before you ask

It also may be worth looking at Apex trackdays.

 

Not used them myself but seem to offer a similar situation to Javlin and also seem to give free tuition.

 

Do the same tracks, but obviously not the same days.

 

Possibly a bit cheeper, if this is because they will put more cars on a day I am unsure. I have heard good reviews as I have from Javlin.

interested might have to get my finger out though with the zetec swap.... Or leave the trusty pinto in and give it another full day of action! I think a group booking could be difficult at the min but was worth the effort to enquire about a discount. I think blyton park have made a few landscape changes over the winter to improve some of the visibility on the back of the track and built a canteen-hence the price rise

£119 for a full trackday is still pretty cheap, but point is all I did was make one phone call to see if there was anything available for a group booking!!

 

I did 11 of these last year and had a blast!! I know and appreciate the overall cost does equate to about £200 - £250 for the day including fuel etc BUT huge amounts of fun and the smile is firmly fixed for days if not weeks, even the Wife can't erase it with her infernal nagging etc. In fact she came to some and loved it too!!!!

 

Come on lets play even if it is later in the year, point was to see who may be interested

Very interested, javelin run a good trackday.

Have to get the turbo fitted though before I meet the tango terrier on the track.

AlfaGTA - from what i have heard your pinto is as good as a zetec? Why not leave it in? You must have heard the saying "if it's not broke ............"

 

Surely we can get at least 5 people to commit?

The pinto is good enough to mix it with the zetecs but for me it runs out of puff/rpm on the straights. The zetec would provide more power, slightly lighter, be quicker to rev, have more top end revs (pinto stops pulling at 5k being standard tune and with my mechanical sympathy i don't push it much past that) plus i wanted to get my hands dirty with an engine swap (i am enjoying stripping/rebuilding the engine so far).
