Out For A Loaf Of Bread

Recommended Posts

Yesterday was sooo nice, and would probably be the last time I take the car out before it`s sorned

until next year. So I went out to get some bread and took the scenice route.

Ive never know these country roads so quiet, must have been no more than 2 cars in front of me for nearly 20 miles.

Driving pleasure it was. (Now wondering if October may be sunny hmmmm!!!!)

I put new wheels and tyres on mine yesterday and went for a trip around the village in order to bed the new studs in.

Two and a half hours later when I got back, they were all ok.

Gearbox and engine are rigidly mounted together so to see the lever moving 5degrees + between accel and overun suggests the engine mounts are way too soft as its principally the engine mounts which resist torque reaction.

No wet weather gear and my time is limited due to my availability as a retained firefighter. When I am off call and want or need to go somewhere it is usually raining. I have a range rover for the winter, one extreme to the other!

But those are the days I have to stay at home! Anyway you don't need wet weather gear with the range rover. Another plus is that I can take my time with the winter mods. Crisp November/December days I usually end up cutting some boy racer out of his souped up corsa.
