28 to 30mm
V6 box needs cutout for the larger layshaft bearing.
I did the job way back may still be in the archives but photobox May have blocked the photos
Caterham spacer is the one you want for ease of fitting.
I have dimensions somewhere

Google Type 9 gearbox spacer then go to images youll see a Caterham one near the top and a few pages down my V6 Type9 on a workmate with spacer and RS2000 bellhousing

Top marks for retro ford my bits have turned up already only ordered gearbox spacer yesterday and I ordered some ARP con rod bolts a few days ago anyway got a message from PayPal that retro ford had refunded some money I thought a bit strange turned out they refunded postage for the bolts cos they sent them with the spacer not many places do that
