I have M16 calipers 245mm solid discs mintex 1144 pads powered off ,65 m/c. At blyton weds they just weren't up to the job not enough power and were over heating after 3/4 laps. What up grades are there? Thinking 280mm discs with wilwoods, hi spec or something equivalent? Any recommendations

I suspect solid discs may be the problem. I know they are a good fit for a light car as they don't need the extra

weight of ventilated discs, but they would disperse the heat build up better than solids with your extra power.

Having done my research i have now opted for a wilwood midilite 4pot set up with 285mm vented discs and wilwood fast road track day pads, if that dont stop it nothing will. no point having a fast car with no brakes, when it was Normally aspirated the brakes weren't so much of a problem. ive now decided that the car is going to be more of a track car than road. Its to bloody quick for the rds now, dont want to get nicked!

Its so true what they say bhp costs ££££ if you want to do it properly
