Starting On My S7

Best thing about moving back home is I can now start on my RH S7. I brought this in 1994 from stoneleigh and picked it up later in year. There's a lot to do I know but let's see how it goes.

Does anyone have the dimensions on a Sierra based 1994 S7. Im after wheel base and track front and rear,please.

Just measured mine dims approx.

Wheel base 97"

Front track to outside of 195 tyres 65"

Rear track 67"

Track will be the same as a std sierra.

My Spare Elan chassis is 96` wheel base

54' front

55' rear hub too hub.

A twin chassis 7, or more like a Lotus 88?

Something on those lines..use the elan chassis and put my s7 body tub on it is the more simple way.that way ill have accurate suspension pickup points. Id love to use a modern engine too.

Mazda or Toyota twin cams would pay homage to the Elan heritage of a 16 V twink.

Im looking for a lightweight high rev unit. To be honest thats sounding like a bike engine. I want modern without having to sell a kidney, perhaps something like a quad cam v8. Bmw comes to mind.

Not sure how much use a bike engine would be in an s7, would be too heavy.

Thinking on grounds of zzr1400. So not a small 900cc type engine that a few 7 styles have in them. But looking at a track focused toy so it will be as light as poss and bare as it comes.
