Trip To Wales

Returned yesterday from my first holiday in the kit- had a fantastic time. Performed flawlessly for 500 miles over three days; couldn't be happier or ask more of it.

We stopped in Llandrindod Wells as one of my friends lives a couple of miles from there. On Monday afternoon we went to the Elan Valley, which I would highly recommend for a visit. 13336127_796893640445465_501511674523073

On Tuesday we continued west towards Aberystwyth on the A44, then took some of the smaller back roads to Aberdovey, which had one of the nicest white sand beaches I have ever been to. The temperature hit 31 degrees whilst there- it didn't feel like Wales whatsoever!

On the way back, we took the mountain pass travelling from Machynlleth through Cwmbelan; this was absolutely beautiful and probably one of the best roads in the country; swooping turns, hairpins and some incredible scenery, made even better by the flawless road surfaces; coming back to England was a shock, and made me realise how truly dreadful our roads are!

The only disappointing part of the trip was that my GoPro decided to stop working; I would have loved to have filmed some of the roads (but it's definitely a good excuse to go back!)

Fuel economy was much better than expected, and it was surprisingly comfortable and easy to drive long distance; it does pay to have a huge silencer!

Had a wicked time overall, and I'm looking forward to the Wales trip in August even more now.
