Width (at the narrowest point) is - 925mm

Width (at the widest point) is - 1360mm

The one I have is slightly buckled/dented

My bonnet fits into a purpose made grove at the nose cone, but at the wider end it kind of overlaps the bulkhead, giving me the impression that there is quite a large tolerance, longer or shorter, so I think your shorter bonnet might just fit.

I'll check tomorrow if 910mm from the nose cone covers the engine bay, if it does I would be very interested in your bonnet,

If not it looks like I'll have to contact GBS.

Thanks everyone for your help.

Give us the measurement for the shortest you can manage as there is a few "practise" rolled edges that may shorten it further if they need cutting off. Will try to find time to photo bonnet but very busy ATM --- off to France starting Friday.

Pictures as promised -- the white tape is measuring 910mm in length -- shiney edge near camera in 1 & 3 is the failed rolled edge -- the whole surface has been "brushed" & the meeting edges at centre are drilled for a piano hinge.

Speak again after our holiday if still interested.

Sorry it's taken me so long to reply, but it looks like 910mm is not quite long enough, I'd have one made if I could find someone to do it, I've only found one place in and around west London and they quoted me nearly £800

Thank you for your help florin, I hope you had a great time in France.

Jules
