Now this is hopefully a neutral and non-provocative post.

 

There has been obvious reference to, and clear displeasure, that I have used and continue to use more than one alias.

 

I also have an account in my own name which until the end of this year will also relate to paid up membership.

This account I no longer use, and I am willing to discuss that with anyone who wishes but it is inappropriate here.

 

Brain Sell was set up as an amusing independent Community User account for a mythical cockney.

Other Community User accounts have been set up as and when I felt like it.

 

None were created with the intention of anything untoward, other than for my amusement and possibly the amusement of others.

 

There are two points related to the usage of aliases here:

 

1) It is common practice in Internet fora, chat rooms and other such gatherings, to use an alias. The vast majority of ids here bear little obvious relationship to the actual name of the user. There may be many reasons for this, including: the unavailabilty of the first choice of an actual name; desire to use an established nickname; for effect; for annonimity; for brevity; or just to be different. There may be others and a reason is not required.

 

2) Multiple aliases are permitted. A very prominent member has two aliases that I know of, neither being that person's real name, although it will be claimed only the current alias is used.

No account holder, whether Community User or Paid-up Member, is required to declare duplicity, nor to give more information in their profile than they wish to which might show the use of more than one alias.

 

Lay into me by all means on your opnion of my posts, but I suggest that the violent objections to my use of aliases, one or more, have no credibility.

 

Given the above, I feel the hostility toward my use of more than one alias is unfounded.

 

Change the rules, if you so wish, but it may cause aggravation to many existing account holders.

i think it's obvious to all around that you enjoy antagonising people on here. My view on your aliases is that you're creating them as a message - to paraphrase: "i'm going to try and wind everyone up. you can ban me but i'll keep creating more users, you can't stop me".

Perhaps "most of us" would be more appropriate?

Do they also post regular spam with them and have conversations with themselves and generally have a dig at mods or officials using these 2 accounts? Name the 2 user accounts and let us judge for ourselves, I imagine they are not a proliferant poster of complete bollox like yourself.

 

Credibility or not, its just you, winding people up and causing general bad feeling cos you're bored sh!tless and feel you are above any authority and will do as you please.

Your focus, no doubt emotionally motivated has not really been on the point I was raising on aliases; your choice.

 

To cover most of your points:

I do what I want, how I want and when I want.

You are entitled to do the same.

Whether it amuses others or not, I care not any more.

I avoid obscenity and emotional outbursts.

I will voice my opinion and take the p¡ss relentlessly as and when I feel fit, as you do and are similarly entitled to do.

 

Do look up the meaning of SPAM in the context of the Internet; it is bulk messaging. I know I go on a bit sometimes, but it ain't SPAM.

 

I do not need to be an administrator to see the details in the profiles of more than one alias, matching.

 

Think that has covered it.

Do try to avoid obscenity, it dstroys your credible points.

But when I get the sh¡t kicked out of me for producing harmless rubbish, then I guess that has coloured my subsequent attitude.

Think back on how it started and the abuse I received.

I realise the irony with this post but.....from his attemps to wind everyone up with his pointless comments under whichever aliase he's in the mood for its clear that he is just an attention seeker....so every time he gets a response it bumps the topic up the forum board and fuels his behaviour.

 

When all said and done, this really ain't worth getting wound up about....clearly he's a couple of sandwiches short of a picnic so if the ip doesn't get blocked, just ignore!!

Has anyone heard of IP Address Spoofing.

He might just put a modicum of effort into backdoor access.

But then I don't think he cares that much from what was said above.

The thread started in a polite fashion and guess what, the lynch mob attacked like hounds baying for blood.

Quite amusing.

With a large picnic, a few sandwiches short is no bother.
