Evening all still working on the dash got 90% done with help from Peter ran out of time on the day

From the old Sierra loom there are 2 green wires feeling the tacho should there be ?

Put a multi meter or it and it's reading -12 v that can't be correct

Have got a few old smiths tacos and I'm not getting any life out of. Either of the 4 cylinder ones but the 8 cylinder does fire up but only half values

Have tried wiring several different ways and direct from the coil still nothing

Any advice input welcome

You only need a single wire to run the rev counter. If you have a single coil, not wasted spark and a ford loom it would normaly be green and go from the coil negative terminal to the rev counter. The rev counter will also need an ignition live and an earth connection.
