You need to put a price on for sale ads.

If they're 108mm and they're in decent nick, you'll get good money for them on Ebay.

I paid £100 for mine which was cheap. The question is, why are you selling something that you have a wanted ad for?

I know it's a pain, but is there any chance you could count the number of splines on each end? Also do you know what length both of them are?

I don't have an old one to go from either, it's a right carry on! But I know i need some my original length but 108mm rather than the 100mm i've got Who'd think there are so many combinations?

Thanks

Sam

I know where you are coming from I'm the same I bought these thinking they were correct but they are not for me I need 108mm ones but off a cosworth I believe, I'm told these are off a sapphire car, I can check and count splines but won't be till later in week and these measure roughly 510mm and 460mm

So are these too short for your application, how do they not fit, do the bolts fit? Sorry for all the questions!

Mo I would say they are the correct length it's just my diff and hubs use m10 bolts and these are made for m8 bolts, the end caps measure 34mm thick but the ones I need should measure 40mm thick I think

I've just measured the shafts on mine, they're 31.2mm diameter and the LH one has 210mm of shaft this diameter and the RH one has 160mm. I can measure the splines as the shafts are assembled.

Lobro joints are 108mm diameter and 33mm wide, bolts are 10mm.

My diff is definitely Cosworth Scorpio 7.5" LSD, it's still got the tag on it, and has 108mm flanges.

I went to J&R for driveshafts and told them I wanted 2WD Cosworth Sierra shafts and they supplied all new Lobro joints, gaiters and 10mm bolts. I also bought new 108mm stub axles because the ones I had were 100mm. The only thing they couldn't supply was the splined shafts.

I bought a pair of shafts and joints off Ebay, 108mm and the seller reckoned they were 2WD Cosworth (either Sierra or Sapphire) which made sense because 4WD Cossy (Sapphireonly, theres's no 4WD in Sierra body) only has 100mm joints.

My new joints fitted the shafts perfectly and everything went together fine. I've never heard of two different thicknesses of joint, and I can't see why it would be needed, a separate 7mm spacer would do the same job much more easily. 7" diff is narrower than 7.5" when measured across the flanges but I don't think they do a 7" diff with 108mm joints. Also the shafts move in and out of the joints as the suspension moves so the overall length isn't fixed and I would think an extra 7mm each and could be accommodated here.

Very strange. 108mm joints aren't unique to Sierra, I wonder if one shaft is off something else? Can you measure the diameter of the splined shaft in the centre, are they both the same?

pm also sent.
