Brake caliper:

  • reducer
  • adapter
  • connector

Its the fitment between the front brake caliper and the braided lines.

It was a bit stubborn to get out and resorted to brute force - hammer and chisel.

I would like to replace it, but cannot find like for like and unsure of measurements etc...

Any ideas, suggestions, descriptions and where the best place to get them would be greatly appreciated.

Yup that's a Goodridge-style reusable fitting. A PTFE lined, braided hose slides onto the upper part, along with an olive, and then you tighten up the compression fitting onto the thread to fix the hose on. The lower half will come in a variety of different threads and angles/lengths, etc.

Another backup option is racing lines in Nuneaton, or Think Automotive, or Race Parts Direct (amongst hundred of others of course)....

Yea thats a Goodridge (Sorry Brumster) style hose end, think its part of their Buildaline Range from memory.

Used to work for them down in exeter.

They are used when making your own custom length hoses. Or connecting to a different thread pattern from the other end.

You can get them from any of the places already mentioned. They are all probably cheaper than buying from them direct tbh.

Here is a link to the sort of thing it is.

They are available with all sorts of thread sizes

Hope this is of help

Could be a Euroquip 600 series fitting. Very similar to Goodridge 600 series. Both are 'Build your own hoses' re-useable fittings for PTFE/Stainless braided hose. Goodridge tend to have a longer barbed pipe insert. Euroquip have a shorter insert. Both need a new olive each time they are separated from their hose. Euroquip were way cheaper from Rally Design when I bought mine years ago.
