A fairly big ask...

After seeing an RH yesterday I've decided tha,t rather than wait until next year to buy, I'm going to try to get on the ladder this year. This will mean a reduced budget but it may be worth a go.

I'm looking for a 2B, at least 10 months MOT, within 75 miles of Gatwick Airport.

Budget.... £3500.

Let's see what happens

There are a couple on eBay at the moment.

The red one looks quite good.

Sorry, just read advert discription and no IVA.

However, there is an S7 that looks extremely well loved and looked after car.

Item number 141896294789.

I know if I was currently looking foe a car I would give it serious consideration.

2bs for sale are a bit thin on the ground..you need to widen your horizon I think.

within 75 miles is a small catchment area. the right car is worth travelling for for..mine was 3 hours drive away in the lakes.

Surely this is worth a look at, further than you wanted to travel and a little more expensive.

If I was in the market this would be a contender

Seems like a lot of money for a sliding pillar to me.

When buying a kit or hobby car, it's always well worth travelling country wide for one.

The right car at the right price will be difficult to get in such a small area.

I've done Manchester in 2.5 hrs on the train and pre booked for £12 one way.

Going to look and pick up a car is part of the adventure.

I've even travelled to Cornwall for a good engine at a bargain price.

As long as there is room in the cost for fuel, I will go anywhere for the right deal.

Been to Wales for a redtop block, Devon for 5 alloy wheels, Birmingham for a

rebuilt & tuned complete Redtop engine (3 b***dy times!), Bradford for twin Dellortos

Every trip well worth it, even including diesel ( at 55mpg) & time.

Doncha just love Ebay?????

Look for splits or stretched metal on all corners inside the car and under bonnet.

Check all suspension mounts and surrounding areas for cracks or splits.

Sliding pillar car should be cheaper than top and bottom wishbones.

How much info comes with it, as in service, maintenance and repair.

Shows how much the owner cared for it instead of just blasting around having negligent fun.

Look before you leap.

I am not an s7 owner but I have learnt the original front suspension is quite commonly remarked on in the forum.

Something about roll bar, tie bars and splits on the sliding pillar top joint.

Lots modified to wishbone.

And of coarse the registration made out to Robin Hood.
