We have had one by use for the past 3 or 4 years and I think it's a brilliant event. All makes of car and bikes to keep everyone amused and if they do a parade Lap like they do here then it makes it even better.

The only problem with the one by us is it's run by aintree racecourse and unless you a member then it's getting very hard to participate in the parade. They quite happy for you to display vehicle tho, and they run everything else very well.

Quick vid from the ormskirk motorfest. Lots more on youtube to whet your appetite. If it was closer, I would sign up for Coventry one.

Right then who's going, anyone.

Looking at the latest info you can join a cavalcade around the ring road between ten and twelve on Sunday, I think it would be good to meet up prior to this and run round in convoy. Any one interested, a nice line of Hoods should wake Coventry up.

Forgot about this one cant do sat but should be good for sunday. Just registered as still open, it did say no booking required but think best to do so just in case. Would be good if we can get on the run but thought it was by invite only.

Okay let's meet at around ten, I think a good spot just outside of town would be to meet at is Alvis retail park on Holyhead road. Theres plenty of parking food and fuel if you need it, we can meet near the MacDonalds CV5 8BW.

From latest email

SUNDAY

On Sunday morning you can choose to take part in the Classic Vehicle Parade which is running round the closed Ring Road between 10:00am and midday. If you want to do this please head for Junction 3 where you will be marshalled in. After your run, please aim for Bond Street (CV1 4AH) where you can park up for the rest of the day unless you're on a motorcycle when you should aim for Trinity Street/Broadgate (CV1 1FL)

If you want to go straight to the static display area then, due to the Ring Road closure for MotoFest, you need to go clockwise round the Ring Road, exit at J9 (Radford Road) towards the City Centre. You'll see a Premier Inn on your right.

At the T-Junction traffic lights turn left. The 'bus lane only' has been suspended for Sunday only so follow that road all the way along until you see the massive metal 'Whittle Arches', then bear right. Sainsbury's is on your left. At the top of the rise you will be marshalled in and directed to the relevant parking area.
