Water Header Tank

Hi. I'm going to fit a header tank to my pinto, the tank I've acquired has two spouts one very small witch I assume goes to the overflow out of the radiator cap, the other is the large outlet, does this joint in to the top or bottom hose ( I think it's the top but not100% ). Much appreciated. Dave

Can you put up a picture so that we can see the connections?

 

Mine has three connections,

One at the neck where the cap overflow is.

One on the front about 1" from the top 8mm pipe. From stat housing.

One at the front near the bottom of the tank 16mm pipe. From inlet manifold tee piece to water pump

The last one being the return from the heater if you have one.
