R1 Carbs, Do I Need An Air Filter ?

On my c20xe i have r1 carbs, do i need an air filter or can i just use the r1 trumpets, i am asking because i am struggling for room due to my master cylinder being in the area my air filter would have been. What are my options? Thanx

I've done mine as above.

On a previouse car with twin webbers, I used songs sock type in two sets of two.

I have a new pair up for grabs if you want them.

I can either send them to you or bring to Stoneliegh.

Cost you a pint though.

I have throttle bodies with no filters, where can you buy the rubber trumpets for a reasonable price? The ones I've seen cost a fortune, any ideas please.
