Brake Discs

Need a new set of front discs,using standard sierra discs at present have been told it would be beneficial to upgrade to larger diameter.What do I need in discs and I presume new callipers,what is the cheapest options and how difficult are they to fit. (ZERO 2Ltr Pinto )

Euro car parts can supply standard size vented PAGID disks, which are the best I have found.

Add a set of MINTEX 1144 pads, & you'll be done.

The braking limit will generally be the tyres, not the braking system.

Can you lock the brakes at present?

agree with Bob. You have discs designed to stop a 1.3ton car on a 0.6ton car so surprised if you can't lock the wheels whenever you want with the normal discs and pads.

Are the drilled and grooved discs worth the extra cost or not????

Are you going to spend every weekend on track at speed? then maybe. A lot of extra money to stop an over braked car for road use.

Nice if you can afford to buy " bits" to look at. Just my opinion.

I used drilled on my rd car, but only because the oem discs warp when stopping from higher speeds in a hurry, all my kits bar one had standard discs with no issue.

My standard discs stop my 2ltr pinto 2b if I press to hard on the stop peddle it smokes the front tyres
