I hope you used the correct procedure to protect and harden up the cam after fitting. It doesn't run in when driving but is usually done by being lubed up and run with no load at 2000-2500rpm for 20 minutes without stopping. (if a very fierce profile lighter valve springs may be used for this run to further protect the cam lobes.)

Just seen this, thanks again guys for the help.

Will run a lot better now I am sure after it had the knackered cam removed.

Front end to sort out now as it is far too stiff.

Anyone got a link to the original build thread when it was done at donnington?

Carb was brand new, it had a 1600 cross flow carb and a set of twins for it, but wanted to start standard and get the car running properly before swapping things over

Awesome, thanks for that.

Good to get an idea of what had been done to the car and some photos too.

What an amazing amount of work under time constraints, well done to all involved.

Its the front end for us next, softer springs and replace the rear dampers too.

Hopefully have a nice running motor for next season! Will be good to meet a few people who helped out on the build of this

Well the front suspension has been replaced.

Couldnt beleive how bad the old set was, a nice new set from damper tech and softer springs has helped no end.

PLenty of things to continue to do, but maybe just enjoy it for this year
