I had you going for a Jaaag or something similar Lee.....

All you need now is a tow bar on the shadabang and then you can afford to drive it to the shows (at least from the main entrance)

lpg that is something i will never try again its crap! car blew its airbox and map sensor to pieces every now and then when it was the most inconvenient time possible. (Armed coppers at the dartford crossing was the funnist time it went bang, pulled away massive bang from the car with a very unamussed looking copper with machine gun) when it was running it was at least 30% down on power...

Dont ruin a nice car...

Nothing wrong with LPG. There's only bad installations and you only ever hear a few people talking about their bad experinces not the thousands who don't have any issues. The main problem is people aren't happy with just having significant fuel cost savings, they want a cheap installation too so they go somewhere that can install in a day, do a shoddy job and then have problems that they blame on the LPG.

I agree that it is slightly down on power (10 - 15% probably) but if you've got a big enough engine to start with, the difference isn't worth worrying about in everyday driving. I've got lpg on my Audi S6 and do probably 600 miles a week at 69.9p a litre, at normal petrol price it would be a very difficult car to justify. The only real downside is the range is a bit limited but with a bit of planning on where I fill up I can easily work around this so it isn't a big problem.

I admit that LPG probably isn't for everyone due to the initial cost outlay but for me it works very well and I feel quite smug that I'm saving close to 70p a litre.

1st up it wasnt a cheap install by a poor company it was done in the early days of conversions by a good company fitting good kit. Nothing they did could get it to stop going bang. it could be fine for 10000miles then boom. (8weeks of driving in them days) I,m sure the new multi point injection systems are fine as are factory installs the system i had just wouldnt work on my v6. i would never do it again. I had to keep a spare map sensor in the car at all times i ran out of breakdown cover one year due to it.

Any hows we have hijacked lees thread (nice motor by the way)
